Fire & Smoke Alarms

  • Fire Alarms

From time fire alarms and evacuation messages may sound throughout all buildings. Whether you believe this to be triggered by a real event or false alarm, or in another building, you must exit the building following the evacutaion instructions issued and as detailed at your nearest fire escape exit.

    Smoke Detectors

Smoke detectors inside apartments are not linked to the monitoring system with the NSW Fire Brigade.  In case of a fire within your apartment you should ring ’000′ immediately.

Critical: Although apartment smoke alarms are mains-wired you must check/change the back-up battery every 12 months.  ’Low battery’ is indicated by an intermittent high pitched beep.

Warning: Failure of the back-up battery may cause the alarm to sound continuously, in which case it could be necessary, if you are not in residence for example, for the Fire Services to be called to your apartment.

    Fire Brigade Access

The Fire Brigade has access to all common lobbies and hallways.
